Shell Source/Milestone Binaries Library http://desktopian.org/shellark/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The intention of this archive is to act as a safe third-party repository for the source code for _any_ open-source Win32 replacement shells. Hopefully copies here will continue to survive for the reference of future developers, regardless of the changes and status of a given shell's primary cvs, source distribution mechanism, or even the continued existance of a formal development group. In this way maybe we can protect access to a given shell even when it's no longer in active development. = PRIMARY CVS ARCHIVES = ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Note, this archive is not attempting to surplant a given shell's main cvs archive. If you are looking for anything I would recommnend checking the main cvs first. The Litestep cvs archive is at: http://www.lsdev.org/, http://wuzzle.org/~litestep/builds/ The PureLS source code is available at http://www.purels.org/purels/index.html The geOShell source archive is at: ftp://ftp.geoshell.com/public/src/ The Graphite cvs archive is at: http://www.graphite.sh/download/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- = 'WANT' LIST = ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The primary files we are seeking are source code, along with the binaries for 'important' releases or builds of a given shell. Because binaries can always be compiled from the source, binaries are of secondary importance. But, having said that, we do plan to maintain binary copies of major 'releases' or milestone builds. Both for the convenience of users who might want to try-out a given release, and also to maintain access to the bundled themes, documentation and utilites that only generally accompany a full release. =Here are items we are specifically looking for at the moment:= /----------------------------------------------------------------------\ If you know of any other commonly-used _opensource_ replacement shells, send us a note and we'll add-em.:) \----------------------------------------------------------------------/ If you have anything in the above list, please send me a copy at tinomen@desktopian.org. _Unless_ it's something larger than roughly a 800k file, in which case I'd appreciate a note before hand (in case I already have your submission, and haven't gotten it moved into the directory for some reason). But you can always drop me a note and check before sending any-sized item, if you want to be sure it's needed. I'm on a pretty fat pipe, and I know some of you aren't. =Notes= ---------------------------------------------------------------------- * If you are looking for Litestep module source code, check out LSSource at http://floach.pimpin.net/lsscource. They've got a good collection there. * If you are looking for geOShell plug-in source code, check out the geOshell source page: http://content.communities.msn.com/isapi/fetch.dll?action=view_list&ID_Community=Geoshell&list=4 (or just click download/source at www.geoshell.com)om)
